Cassie grew up on a farm in rural Minnesota. She has been playing in the snow, wandering in the woods, and swimming in lakes for most of her life. Having earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, Cassie taught elementary and middle school in the Minneapolis school district for several years. In addition, she led various afterschool clubs and summer youth programs involving everything from inner-city youth justice work to zipline guiding. She has also spent time working with youth in the criminal legal system.
Cassie believes deeply in the power of nature to bring wholeness and healing, and she is committed to removing distractions so that students can focus on their inner work. In her free time, she loves to watch baseball, hang out with friends, and hike/run/walk/paddle wherever she can get the best view of the mountains.
