Position: Field Instructor

Mac escaped from the suburbs of Pennsylvania to seek out experiences in the wider world, creating a love of travel and desire to intimately understand diverse ways of living. This can be seen in her admittedly multifarious professional activities – which include stints at Bridgewater Associates, the CIA, and Backpacker magazine – and international interludes – studying Muay Thai in Thailand, working at a hiking cabin in Norway, and volunteering in a kibbutz in Israel. Mac also embraces her nerdy side: she studies engineering at Dartmouth and was heavily involved in academic research focused on mathematically modeling qualitative social and environmental systems. She is thrilled to continue her journey at New Vision and explore the therapeutic power of the outdoors while challenging students to hone and implement their own life philosophies.
